Professional handpan strobe tuner with harmonic analysis, overtone visualization, and multi-window support.
Three powerful modes, one seamless workflow. From quick checks to deep harmonic analysis.
See fundamental, octave, and compound fifth as separate strobe bands. Direction tells you flat or sharp instantly.
Quick-check mode with horizontal cents bar, detected note display, and pitch pipes for reference tones.
Waterfall FFT spectrogram reveals the full harmonic spectrum with piano keyboard overlay.
Open linked child windows showing different modes simultaneously. Monitor strobe and spectrum side by side.
30 handpan scales — Kurd, Celtic, Hijaz, Pygmy and more — each shown on an interactive handpan diagram. Build unlimited custom scales and drag the tone fields to match your instrument.
Industry-leading pitch detection accurate to fractions of a cent. Configurable A4 reference (420-460 Hz).
Each mode reveals different aspects of your handpan's sound. Use them together for complete control.
The strobe display shows separate bands for fundamental (1x), octave (2x), and compound fifth (3x). Bands drift left when flat, right when sharp. When a band freezes, that partial is in tune.
The simplest way to check pitch. A large note display shows the detected note, with a horizontal cents bar indicating how far off you are. Scale notes at the bottom guide your tuning session.
A real-time waterfall FFT spectrogram shows the complete frequency content of each strike. The piano keyboard highlights where harmonics land, making it easy to spot rogue overtones.
A full scale library paired with an interactive handpan layout — see every tone field exactly where it sits on your instrument.
Pick from 30 built-in handpan scales — grouped by Minor, Major, Pentatonic, Harmonic and more — and PanTuner draws the full layout: the center Ding, every numbered tone field, and the notes on the bottom. Select a scale and all three tuning modes adapt instantly.
Build your own custom scales and fine-tune every detail of your tuning environment.
Not in the library? Create it. Tap + New Scale, give it a name, and type your notes (e.g. D3 A3 Bb3 C4 D4 E4 F4 G4 A4). PanTuner builds the handpan layout automatically. Export a scale to share it, or import one from a fellow player.
Full control over your tuning environment. Select your audio input device, adjust the A4 reference frequency (420–460 Hz), and fine-tune strobe sensitivity and speed to match your workflow.
No complex setup. Just launch and play.
Choose from 30 built-in handpan scales or build your own custom scale in seconds.
PanTuner detects the pitch instantly. The strobe shows you exactly how far off each harmonic is.
Watch the strobe slow and freeze as you approach perfect pitch. The center bar glows when locked in.
Purpose-built for handpan tuning at a fraction of the cost.

Strobe tuner, simple tuner, and overtone analyzer — everything you need in a single app at a fraction of what you'd pay separately.
Handpans are not meant to be mathematically perfect. A beautiful instrument doesn't have to be tuned to the exact cent — sometimes tuners intentionally add subtle imperfections that increase character and warmth. A tone can be 10 cents off and still sound perfectly in tune to the ear.
In fact, on a perfectly tuned instrument, certain tones can activate the same overtones and make them disproportionately loud. The 10-cent rule: small deviations are normal and often desirable. Consider this before questioning your instrument's tuning.
If you're happy with how your handpan sounds, don't send it for retuning. When something is truly out of tune, you will feel it. And if you're buying a new instrument, make sure you have a tuning guarantee.
